We’re working with a fast-growing business within the music and entertainment industry seeking a Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to join its small, growing, collaborative finance team.
Working with high-profile clients across the creative sector, the company offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment with excellent exposure to the entertainment industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build strong foundational finance experience while contributing to a growing organisation.
This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day finance function. You will take ownership of core bookkeeping and accounts payable responsibilities, while assisting with broader finance processes and reporting, and with the opportunity to take on more responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices, payments, and receipts
- Managing accounts payable across suppliers
- Ensuring accurate coding and timely processing of payables
- Supporting month-end processes and general finance reporting
- Maintaining accurate and well-organised financial records
- Providing ad hoc finance support to the wider team
The Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years’ experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or Bookkeeper role
- Strong experience in accounts payable and day-to-day bookkeeping
- Experience assisting with VAT returns
- Ability to work autonomously with strong self-motivation
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- A proactive, reliable approach to work
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small team
- Experience within music, entertainment, film, TV, or other creative industries (desirable but not essential)
- A genuine interest in music!
