Bookkeeper
Music & Entertainment Accountancy Practice | London | £30,000–£33,000 | Hybrid
The Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients, supporting with day-to-day bookkeeping and working closely with the wider accounting team. You will work with a varied client base across the music, entertainment and creative industries, giving you exposure to a range of interesting businesses and individuals.
Key Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients

Processing sales and purchase invoices

Bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records

Processing expenses and payments

Accounts payable and receivable
-
Assisting with VAT returns

Supporting with month-end processes

Preparing basic management information and reports

Liaising with clients regarding bookkeeping queries

Working closely with accountants and managers to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date

Assisting with ad-hoc accounting tasks when required
About You
-
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within an accountancy practice

Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping

Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining ledgers

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients

Good communication and client-facing skills

Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar

A proactive approach and willingness to learn

An interest in working within the music, entertainment or creative industries
Music or entertainment experience is desirable but not essential.
