HR Adviser
Northampton (Hybrid: 3 office / 2 home, occasional pre-arranged travel to two UK offices)
Salary: £28,000–£33,000 (up to £35,000 DOE)
About the Role
We are a growing, people-focused business with 88 employees and a supportive, family-feel culture. As our HR Adviser, you’ll play a key role in delivering our people strategy, embedding company values and improving employee experience. Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Head of HR, you will provide first-line HR advice, manage onboarding, maintain HR systems (People HR), support ER cases and help drive HR projects across the business. Payroll is outsourced, but you will liaise with the provider to ensure accurate monthly submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-line HR and policy advice to managers and employees
- Manage onboarding, inductions and probation processes
- Support ER cases including absence, performance and informal matters
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting through People HR
- Support training, development and wellbeing initiatives
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements
- Liaise with the outsourced payroll and benefits provider
- Occasional travel to two UK offices (pre-arranged, approx. once per month)
About You
- CIPD studying (membership funded)
- 1–3 years HR experience in a generalist environment
- Confident building relationships across all levels
- Well-organised, detail-focused and proactive
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence (car or allowance provided)
