Project Manager | Live Events & Production
London
£45,000–£65,000
Hybrid
I’m working with an exciting live entertainment and production business to find an experienced Project Manager/Producer to join its growing projects team in London.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse range of creative production projects, managing everything from the initial client brief and budgeting through to technical delivery, on-site execution and final financial reconciliation.
Working closely with creative, design and production teams, you’ll be the person who turns ambitious ideas into well-planned, commercially successful projects. You’ll own the schedule, budget, supplier relationships and client communication, ensuring every project is delivered to the highest standard, on time and within budget.
The role would suit someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys the detail behind complex productions and can confidently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced live environment.
The Role
You’ll take projects from initial brief through to final delivery, acting as the central point of coordination between clients, designers, suppliers and production teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of projects from initial brief through to delivery and final reconciliation.
- Translating creative concepts into detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and delivery timelines.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinating creative, design, technical, fabrication and production workstreams.
- Managing project resourcing, including booking designers, coordinators, crew and specialist suppliers.
- Overseeing logistics, including transport, freight, accommodation, site access, installation and de-rig.
- Leading on-site delivery when required, coordinating teams through installation, live delivery and breakdown.
- Acting as the primary day-to-day client contact, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Preparing and managing project budgets, supplier quotations, purchase orders and expenditure.
- Monitoring project costs and profitability, proactively managing changes to scope and protecting margins.
- Leading final project reconciliation, reporting costs and margins to senior management and finance.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, schedules, risk registers and delivery records.
- Ensuring projects comply with relevant health and safety requirements, including risk assessments, method statements and supplier compliance.
- Working closely with the wider team to resolve challenges, manage changing priorities and keep projects moving.
About You
You’ll be an experienced Project Manager or Production Manager with a background in live events, experiential production, entertainment or a related creative production environment.
You’ll combine strong organisational skills with commercial awareness, technical understanding and the confidence to manage clients and production teams alike.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- At least five years’ experience in project or production management within live events, experiential, brand or entertainment production.
- A proven track record of delivering projects end to end, from planning and costing through to execution and final reconciliation.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, balancing competing deadlines and priorities.
- Strong commercial and financial skills, including budgeting, cost control, supplier negotiations and margin management.
- A good technical understanding of production disciplines such as staging, lighting, audio, video, rigging and fabrication.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations.
- Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail, supported by clear project documentation.
- The confidence to lead teams, coordinate suppliers and make decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to travel and work on site, including occasional nights, weekends and extended hours around live delivery.
- The right to work in the UK.
What's on Offer?
- £45,000–£65,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
- A full-time role with genuine ownership of projects from brief to completion.
- The opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of live entertainment and creative production projects.
