We are pleased to be working with a global music accountancy firm specialising in the music industry, looking for a Business Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a varied portfolio of clients while overseeing and developing a team of accountants, ensuring high quality financial reporting and consistent service delivery
- Take ownership of client relationships, leading meetings, providing commercial and financial guidance, and resolving complex technical queries
- Manage, mentor, and coach a team, overseeing workflow, performance reviews, and delivery against agreed deadlines
- Review VAT returns, oversee billing processes, and monitor financial performance across the portfolio
- Support operational and process improvements, helping to ensure the team is well-structured, supported, and able to scale effectively
The successful candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant (or equivalent by experience), ideally with a background in professional practice
- Demonstrable experience managing client portfolios within a professional services environment
- Strong technical grounding in UK accounting standards, financial reporting, and tax fundamentals
- Proven ability to plan, delegate, and deliver work under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Previous experience supporting, mentoring, or managing junior team members
