The Opportunity
An established, fast-growing independent music company is looking to appoint a commercially driven Sync & Brand Manager to lead and significantly grow synchronisation and brand licensing revenues.
Working closely with senior leadership, this is a highly outward-facing role with genuine ownership over revenue generation across advertising, film, TV, trailers, gaming and digital platforms. The role suits someone who thrives on deal-making, relationship-building and turning creative assets into meaningful commercial outcomes.
The company operates across records, publishing and artist services, representing a culturally relevant roster alongside globally recognised catalogue works, and has a strong reputation for creative integrity paired with commercial ambition.
Key Responsibilities
Sync & Licensing
- Proactively source, pitch and secure sync placements across advertising, film, TV, trailers, gaming and digital media
- Leverage senior-level relationships with music supervisors, agencies, production companies and brands to generate consistent deal flow
- Lead negotiations on fees, usage, term and territory in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Drive monetisation across both frontline releases and catalogue with a clear revenue focus
- Manage the end-to-end licensing process, ensuring efficient execution and delivery
- Own and maintain the company’s DISCO platform, ensuring assets and metadata are accurately tagged and commercially pitch-ready
Brand Partnerships & Revenue Growth
- Identify, pitch and close commercially aligned brand partnerships
- Develop repeat and long-term brand relationships that generate sustainable income
- Work closely with brands and agencies to deliver campaigns that balance commercial objectives with creative integrity
- Spot new opportunities across emerging platforms, sectors and markets
Strategy & Collaboration
- Embed sync and brand strategy into release planning and catalogue exploitation alongside A&R, marketing and publishing teams
- Forecast, track and report on revenue performance and pipeline
- Contribute to wider commercial growth initiatives
- Maintain strong awareness of market trends, benchmarks and rate cards
About you
- Proven experience in sync, licensing or brand partnerships within the music industry
- Demonstrable track record of closing commercially meaningful sync and brand deals
- Strong existing network across music supervision, agencies, production companies and brands
- Confident negotiator with excellent commercial judgement
- Highly organised, results-focused and comfortable owning revenue targets
- Strong understanding of copyright, licensing structures and deal terms
- Confident across both master and publishing rights
- Knowledge of UK and international markets; US experience advantageous
